SAR Interferogram Phase Filtering Using Wavelet Transform
The application of SAR Interferometry (InSAR) especially in Digital Elevation Modeling as well as deformation monitoring encounters problems due to noise in the interferogram phase. The noise is mainly caused by temporal and baseline decorrelation as well as changes in atmospheric conditions that makes the process of phase reconstruction difficult and reduces the accuracy. The quality of digita...
متن کاملThe Filtering and Phase Unwrapping of Interferogram
INSAR(Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) has been studied and used widely in the field of generating high accuracy DEM(Digital Elevation Model). The processing of INSAR includes many key technologies, such as image matching, phase unwrapping, baseline estimation, etc. The phase unwrapping is difficult, but it can be made easy and simple by an excellent interferogram filtering, as is ofte...
متن کاملWavelet Analysis for Geophysical Applications
Wavelet transforms originated in geophysics in the early 1980s for the analysis of seismic signals. Since then, significant mathematical advances in wavelet theory have enabled a suite of applications in diverse fields. In geophysics the power of wavelets for analysis of nonstationary processes that contain multiscale features, detection of singularities, analysis of transient phenomena, fracta...
متن کاملA modification to the Goldstein radar interferogram filter
We present a modification to the adaptive Goldstein radar interferogram filter which improves the quality of interferometry products. The proposed approach makes the Goldstein filter parameter alpha dependent on coherence, such that incoherent areas are filtered more than coherent areas. This modification minimizes loss of signal while still reducing the level of noise.
متن کاملSAR Interferogram Phase Filtering based on the von Mises Distribution
We propose the use of the Von Mises distribution for circular data to model interferometric phase images. Based on the kappa parameter of the Von Mises distribution a locally adaptive phase filter is developed. A two-sided confidence interval on the kappa values is constructed, and only phase measurements where kappa values fall inside this interval are input to the filter We additionally put m...
